Studies have reported that sulforaphene might have a potential in inhibiting the progression of ESCC by activating the GADD45B-MAP2K3-P38-p53 signaling pathway [31], indicating the possibility to improve the therapeutic effect of ESCC patients with aberrant ZNF154 methylation through epigenetic editing combined with targeted drugs like sulforaphene. This evidence concerns the gene ZNF154 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
