Extensive studies have indicated that the abnormal regulation of STATs, especially for STAT1/3/5, is closely associated with the progression of various tumors, including solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, such as prostate cancer, breast cancer, CRC, and leukemias (Ferrajoli et al., 2006; Lassmann et al., 2007; Benekli et al., 2009; Gu et al., 2010; Koptyra et al., 2011). Here, STAT1 is linked to leukemia.
