In this study, we show that intermittently subcutaneous injection of PTH (40 μg/kg daily) could alleviate the non-alcoholic liver steatosis in diet-induced obese (DIO) mice and leptin receptor-deficient (db/db) mice (a classic animal model for liver steatosis) (17), and reduce the hepatic lipid accumulation in 24-hour-fasted mice. This evidence concerns the gene PTH and fatty liver disease.
