Hyperactive mTORC1 signaling is a clinical feature of patients with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) which is caused by inactivating pathogenic variants in either TSC1 or TSC2 genes, and sclerotic bone lesions have been frequently reported in TSC patients (Avila et al., 2010; Wu et al., 2017). Here, TSC1 is linked to tuberous sclerosis.
