In a subgroup analysis conducted by ethnicity, we obtained significant results in Asians that TP53 rs1042522 polymorphism was associated with an increased the risk of cervical cancer in two models (CC + CG vs GG: OR = 1.817, 95% CI: 1.172-2.814, 95% PI: 0.407-8.110; GG vs CC: OR = 2.576, 95% CI: 1.259-5.271, 95% PI: 0.180-36.817). This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and cervical cancer.
