Zhao and colleagues subsequently created ExoSearch, a microfluidic device that used anti-CA-125, anti-EpCAM (Epithelial Cell Adhesion Molecule), and anti-CD24 antibodies to collect sEVs from plasma of healthy controls and patients with ovarian cancer (cluster of differentiation 24 or heat stable antigen CD24) (119–121). Here, EPCAM is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
