Zhao and colleagues subsequently created ExoSearch, a microfluidic device that used anti-CA-125, anti-EpCAM (Epithelial Cell Adhesion Molecule), and anti-CD24 antibodies to collect sEVs from plasma of healthy controls and patients with ovarian cancer (cluster of differentiation 24 or heat stable antigen CD24) (119–121). The gene discussed is CD24; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
