In another animal experiment, the middle cerebral artery occlusion method was performed to establish a mouse cerebral ischemia-reperfusion model, and it was found that the expression of low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) in the brain tissue of the model mouse was downregulated and induced the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome and the subsequent maturation, and the release of IL-18 eventually led to neuronal apoptosis. The gene discussed is LDLR; the disease is brain ischemia.
