Tremendous activation of multiple types of proinflammatory factors, including TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6, has been found to participate in the pathological development of colitis, and within this process, the activation of multiple types of signaling pathways (Tracey 2002), such as NF-κB, MAPK, COX-2, and Jak/Stat, regulates the pathological development of this disease (Liu 2005).
