miR‐21 was found to be underexpressed in cytogenetically normal AML with high Tet methylecytosine deoxygenase 1 (TET1) and while some studies have found miR‐21 to target TET1 in colorectal cancer, it was TET1 overexpression, and not miR‐21 underexpression, that was suggested as the contributor to AML progression in this instance [38]. Here, TET1 is linked to colorectal cancer.
