Simultaneously, NK cells seemed to lose their activated function, as they lost genes related to NK cell activation (FCGR3A [CD16]), effector function, and cancer cell engagement (26) (PRF1, CCL4, CD2); as well as genes related to NF-κB pathway activity (DUSP1, RHO, FOSB) (all Padj < 0.05, Bonferroni-corrected t test, Figure 2, E and F, DEGs in Supplemental Table 2). The gene discussed is CCL4; the disease is cancer.
