NLRP3 and COVID-19: Given that NLRP3 is one of the targets for the treatment of COVID-19 and inhibition of NLRP3 inflammasome activation could effectively alleviate infection-induced lung injury (Xian et al., 2021), this study not only elucidates the mechanism and components of PR in the treatment of ALI, but it will also contribute to the development of COVID-19 therapeutic drugs.
