In this study, MDAH/DDP cells were treated with increasing iron concentrations to investigate the effect of iron on calcium channels, carriers, and exchange proteins of mRNA gene expressions in ovarian cells in which ovarian cancers developed cisplatin resistance, and 15 genes (IP3R1/2/3, RYR1/2, SERCA1/2/3, NCX1/2/3, PMCA1/2/3/4) related to Ca2+ were examined by quantitative RT-PCR method and compared with MDAH cells. The gene discussed is ITPR1; the disease is ovarian cancer.
