CD4 and cyst: The predominance of CD4+ T cells compared to CD8+ T cells was significantly increased in the CLT, and the percentage of CD4+ T cells was obviously higher in CE patients in the active stages of disease (CE1 and CE2), thus suggesting that T cells, especially CD4+ T cells, in the lesion microenvironment play a significant regulatory role in the development and progression of CE and are closely related to CE cyst viability.
