By monitoring trends in the variations in RIP3 and MLKL protein expression and phosphorylation levels of RIP3 and MLKL in the vessel wall during the process of DVT, we discovered that the increased expression of RIP3 protein and its phosphorylation level was most pronounced at 48 h after ligation, and the p-MLKL/MLKL was also increased at the same time and peaked at 72 h after ligation (Figure 1(d)). Here, MLKL is linked to deep vein thrombosis.
