Initial laboratory data were remarkable for leukocytosis with left shift and lymphopenia, mild acute kidney injury with creatinine of 1.3 mg/dL (reference range: 0.60-1.20 mg/dL), elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) at 123 mm/h (reference range: 0-15 mg/dL), and increased C-reactive protein (CRP) to 404.6 mg/L (reference range < 5 mg/dL).
