With the exception of JPH1 (targeted by miR-145 to favor tumor-suppression), CACNA2D4 (mitigation of the adverse effects of chemotherapy in BRD9, gastric cancer), and TRPM5 (the Ca2+-dependent regulation of inflammatory responses and the production of mucin), there are no clear molecular mechanisms cited to explain the improved patient survival observations in the present study. Here, CACNA2D4 is linked to gastric cancer.
