We hypothesized that XJEK may prevent isoproterenol (ISO)-induced myocardial hypertrophy (MH) in mice by ameliorating oxidative stress (OS) through a mechanism that may be related to the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2)/heme oxygenase-1(HO-1) pathways. Here, HMOX1 is linked to cardiac hypertrophy.
