Recently, dysbindin-1 (also termed dystrobrevin-binding protein 1), which binds to α- and β-DB in the DAPC [15], has been identified as a susceptibility gene for schizophrenia [16] and polymorphisms in the dysbindin-1 gene are associated with altered emotional working memory [17]. Here, DTNBP1 is linked to schizophrenia.
