MCL1 and cancer: Encouraged by these findings and determined to explore the research project describing the new signaling pathways underlying fluoroquinolones’ anti-cancer activity, we applied molecular docking (in silico), fluorescence image cytometry, and Western blot (in vitro) panel of experiments to investigate, for the first time, the main role of MITF and Mcl-1 proteins in the MFLX-induced anti-proliferative and pro-apoptotic effects on the breast cancer cells.
