In the univariate analysis, in the group with an experienced first assistant, the rates of diabetes mellitus (p value ≤ 0.001) and prior pelvic surgery (p value = 0.038) were significantly lower, whereas the rate of preoperative use of a GnRH agonist was significantly higher (p value ≤ 0.001) than that in the group without an experienced first assistant. This evidence concerns the gene GNRH1 and diabetes mellitus.
