ADHD has been associated with white matter abnormalities in a range of tracts, including (but not limited to) bilateral ILF (Chen et al., 2016), and specific associations between persistent symptoms of inattention and ILF have been reported both in children (Svatkova et al., 2016) and adults (Versace et al., 2021, Konrad et al., 2012) (although it is worth noting that other tracts have also been implicated in inattentive symptoms in ADHD cohorts (Shaw et al., 2015; Wu et al., 2014). Here, FOXK2 is linked to attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder.
