Li et al. (2020) found that low expression of FTO and METTL14 and high expression of METTL3, HNRNPA2B1, and YTHDF3 were related to the poor prognosis of osteosarcoma. The m6A “writer” METTL3 was demonstrated to promote radioresistance in pancreatic cancer (Taketo et al., 2018), hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (Wu et al., 2021), and glioma stem-like cells (Visvanathan et al., 2018). This evidence concerns the gene METTL14 and central nervous system cancer.
