CRP and necrotizing enterocolitis: Univariate analysis identified 17 potential risk factors, namely, gestational age, weight at diagnosis, poor mental reaction, fever, apnea, rigid muscle, weak bowel sound, WBC, platelet count, eosinophil, CRP, PCT, blood pH, lactate, fibrinogen, albumin, and serum sodium for implementing surgical treatment in NEC patients (all p < 0.05, results not given).
