The majority of functional pituitary adenoma (FPA; n = 152) cases were those induced by the overproduction of growth hormone (n = 34; 7.92%) and prolactin (n = 110; 25.64%), followed by those induced by corticotropin (n = 6; 1.40%) or thyrotropin (n = 2; 0.47%). The gene discussed is GH1; the disease is pituitary gland adenoma.
