Less severe amyloid pathology was also uniquely associated with less severe tau pathology at T1 and less severe neurodegeneration at T2, such that an individual with amyloid pathology that is one standard deviation below the sample mean (i.e., an Aβ42/Aβ40 value one standard deviation above the mean) would be expected to have an approximately one-third standard deviation reduction in tau pathology and neurodegeneration, respectively. Here, MAPT is linked to amyloidosis.
