ALB and diabetes mellitus: Table 1 shows the demographic and main laboratory data of the participants. Older adults with diabetes had significantly lower mGFR than the non-diabetic group (46.17 ± 23.3 vs. 51.99 ± 22.28 ml/min/1.73 m2, respectively, p = 0.005). In addition, diabetic participants had a slightly higher level of body mass index than those without diabetes (25.08 ± 3.03 vs. 24.35 ± 3.34 kg/m2, respectively, p = 0.027). However, there were no significant differences in age, sex, and serum albumin between the two groups (Table 1).
