ARC and cardiac hypertrophy: Mechanistically, miR-223 can inhibit the expression of the antiapoptotic protein ARC by binding to the noncoding region of the target gene and HRCR can “adsorb” it to downregulate its function, promote increased expression of downstream antiapoptotic protein ARC, and inhibit the progression of pathological myocardial hypertrophy and heart failure (Figure 1(e)).
