It has been reported that upregulated IL-17 and Tnf signalings contribute to the excessive bone resorption in multiple inflammatory bone loss diseases (Tsukasaki & Takayanagi, 2019; Weitzmann, 2017), suggesting the potential role of overactivated IL-17 and Tnf pathways in an increased number of osteoclasts under the OI background.
