In ovarian cancer, activation of EGFR signaling prevents proteasomal degradation of CUB domain‐containing protein 1 (CDCP1) through CDCP1 palmitoylation at Cys689, Cys690, Cys772, and Cys780 and subsequent CDCP1 localization to the cell surface, where CDCP1 acts to enhance cell migration [94] (Fig. 2, Table 1).
