ZDHHC3 is significantly elevated in both malignant and metastatic human breast cancer, and knockdown of ZDHHC3 with shRNA in MDA‐MB‐231 cells leads to oxidative stress and senescence, enhancing the recruitment of antitumor macrophages and natural killer cells associated with the clearance of senescent tumor cells, thereby reducing xenograft growth in both primary tumors and metastatic lung colonies [118].
