DUSPs exert their tumor suppressor function in multiple aspects and multiple tumor types, including limiting the progression of the tumor, promoting tumor apoptosis, etc. Overexpression of DUSP8 was found to remarkably suppress the proliferation and migration of colorectal carcinoma cells (CRC)in vitro[20]; DUSP6/MKP-3 expression levels showed a negative correlation with the KRAS expression levels in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)[21]. The gene discussed is DUSP6; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
