NFKB1 and metabolic disease: Given that NF-κB can activate inflammatory responses [39,40,41], and it has been reported as a potential therapeutic target in metabolic disease and swine-origin influenza A (H1N1) virus [39,40,41,42], we subsequently carried out the fluorescein reporter gene assay and the results showed that Ec-CD reduced the promoter activity of NF-κB.
