AKT1 and infection: After infection with Rac-H EHV-1 (Figure 3), an increased mitochondrial network fission was observed at 2, 24, and 48 h p.i. We also found the occurrence of swollen mitochondria at 2 h p.i. (Figure 3A), a colocalization of viral antigens with punctate mitochondria at 24 h p.i., (Figure 3B) and a partial colocalization at 2 and 48 h p.i. (Figure 3A,C).
