INS and cancer: As we have discussed, 67LR is an important sensing molecule for EGCG and confers its beneficial properties, including anti-cancer [1,40,98,99,100], anti-atherosclerosis [101,102,103], modulation of insulin sensitivity [104,105,106,107], anti-bacterial [108], anti-inflammatory [5,48,109,110,111], anti-allergic [10,18,25,57,66], anti-hypertensive [112], anti-vasogenic edema [113,114], as well as being protective against muscle atrophy [8,115], reproductive disorders [116], and cardiovascular [117,118,119] and neurological diseases [120,121,122] (Figure 6).
