IL13 and COVID-19: In assessing the abundance of anti-inflammatory cytokines in the plasma of COVID-19-positive subjects, we found the concentration of IL-5 (p = 0.04) to be decreased and IL-10 (p = 0.036) to be increased compared to healthy control subjects; no difference was found in the concentration of IL-4 (p = 0.75), IL-9 (p = 0.22), and IL-13 (p = 0.84) in COVID-19-infected subject plasma (Table 5).
