CXCL10 and COVID-19: Since the emergence of SARS-CoV-2, numerous studies have described abnormal levels of certain cytokines and chemokines, an uncontrolled increase in the production of pro-inflammatory IL-6, IL-8, IL-17 CCL2/MCP-1 and anti-inflammatory IL-10, CXCL10/IP-10 cytokines and an effective depletion of the antiviral defenses of innate immunity in patients with acute COVID-19 (reviewed in [17,18,19]).
