Further analyses stratified by age at baseline, sex, employment status, education level, socioeconomic status, BMI categories, cholesterol medication, hypertension medication, insulin medication, family history of hypertension, DM, and cancer, with unfavourable lifestyle as the reference group, yielded a similar pattern of associations; favourable and intermediate lifestyles were inversely associated with all-cause mortality risk.
