First, 18 of 21 m6A regulators (METTL3, METTL14, RBM15B, KIAA1429, CBLL1, ZC3H13, ALKBH5, FTO, YTHDC1, YTHDC2, YTHDF1, YTHDF2, IGF2BP1, HNRNPA2B1, HNRNPC, FMR1, LRPPRC, ELAVL1) were identified as differentially expressed in PCa compared to normal prostate tissue (Supplementary Figure S3B), suggesting that most m6A regulators were biologically pro-active in PCa. The gene discussed is FTO; the disease is posterior cortical atrophy.
