Therefore, the main aim of this work was to establish and investigate the combined use of CADM1 and MAL promoter methylation as liquid biopsy markers in cervical cancer with the following goals: (a) to provide the possibility to make a qualitative statement as to whether the sample is methylated or not methylated; (b) to achieve the highest possible sensitivity, and (c) to be specific towards HD samples. The gene discussed is MAL; the disease is cervical carcinoma.
