CD8A and neoplasm: Finally, it should be kept in mind that the effective delivery of antigens by nanovaccines is not always indicative of effective anti-tumor responses by antigen-specific CD8+ T cells because it has been shown that after the administration of nanovaccines, despite the effective responses of antigen-specific CD8+ T cells, the cytotoxic function of these lymphocytes have either reduced or diminished, which may be due to the escape of tumor cells caused by the reduced expression of MHC molecules or the presence of other inhibitory signals in the TME [108,129].
