We observed the apoptosis induction and the inhibition of the metastatic potential of A2058 cells treated with our extracts, suggesting that the reduction in melanoma cells migration is associated with the modulation of some of the main proteins involved in the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) process, namely E- and N-cadherin and vimentin, as well as with the perturbation of tubulin and actin cytoskeleton. This evidence concerns the gene CDH2 and melanoma.
