In another study with a cohort of 75 PD patients, a set of five biomarkers (cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) total tau levels, CSF phosphorylated tau levels, CSF Aβ42 levels, APOE genotype, and SPARE-AD imaging score) was adopted as the predictor of a logistic regression classifier, and 80% accuracy was achieved in discriminating PD patients with normal cognition from PD patients with dementia [9]. The gene discussed is APOE; the disease is Parkinson disease.
