To determine whether IgG heavy chain fragments were being expressed by the tumour tissue, in the same way that other epithelial cancers including CRC have been shown to previously [37], or whether antibody recognition of IGHG3 products were due to infiltration of the adaptive immune response into the tumour as part of the CLR reaction, we examined the expression of IgG3 in cell lines and Hansestadt Rostock colorectal cancer (HROC) patient samples. The gene discussed is IGHG3; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
