Nesfatin-1 levels in plasma from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients are correlated with plasma levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-8 (IL-8), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), implying that nesfatin-1 acts as a novel inflammatory factor in COPD patients [12, 13].
