Furthermore, participants with incident coronary events or ischemic stroke had higher body mass index (BMI), apolipoprotein B (ApoB)/apolipoprotein A1 (ApoA1) ratio, ApoB, fasting blood glucose (FBG), and hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), but lower educational level, ApoA1, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, and were more likely to have diabetes and take lipid-lowering drugs.
