NPPB and hydrops fetalis: In a study conducted on 205 patients with HFpEF hospitalized for acute HF, after a mean follow up of 28 ± 10 months, discharge NT-proBNP ≥ 1500 ng/L (HR: 5.23, CI 95%: 2.87–17.8, p < 0.001) and ≥50% NT-proBNP reduction between admission and discharge (HR: 0.62, CI 95%: 0.25–0.79, p = 0.019) were independent predictors of death and rehospitalization for HF.
