The preoperative serum creatinine (p = 0.018), serum uric acid (p = 0.018), beta-2-microglobulin (p < 0.001), total bilirubin (p = 0.008), direct bilirubin (p = 0.015), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) (p = 0.001) and B-type natriuretic peptide (p = 0.049) in the AKI group were all significantly higher than those without AKI, while the estimated glomerular filtration rates (eGFR) were lower than non-AKI group (p = 0.024). This evidence concerns the gene B2M and acute kidney injury.
