Most GO terms were identified to be related to the occurrence and development of tumors, such as the negative regulation of cell proliferation, superoxide dismutase activity, the positive regulation of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition, etc. All these pathways were closely associated with cancer, such as the Ras signaling pathway, the Forkhead Box Protein (FoxO) signaling pathway, and the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) signaling pathway (Figure 2B). The gene discussed is VEGFA; the disease is cancer.
