The LncRNA MEG3 expression was shown to be altered during viral infection; for example, in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tissues, the increased level of expression of lncRNA MEG3 inhibits the expression level of TLR4, subsequently reducing RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) infection-induced inflammatory responses [25].
