An origami paper-based electrochemical aptasensor design study for the detection of overexpressed epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) in the presence of various carcinomas was performed by Wang et al. [97] The preparation of the sensor surface consists of some steps such as synthesis of amino-functional graphene (NH2-GO)/thionine (THI)/gold particle (AuNP) nanocomposites, and modification to the carbon working electrode, covalent coupling of aptamers to the modified transducer, and surface blocking with mercaptoethanol (Figure 10). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and carcinoma.
