ALK and non-small cell lung carcinoma: The phase II platform study in patients with advanced NSCLC who progressed on first-line osimertinib therapy in EGFR mutant disease (ORCHARD; NCT03944772) is an appealing design that is well placed to be applied in ALK. In ORCHARD patients with a potentially targetable resistant variant continuing on osimertinib, appropriate targeted therapy was added, for example, savolitinib in MET amplification and necitumumab in EGFR amplification (126).
