The phase II platform study in patients with advanced NSCLC who progressed on first-line osimertinib therapy in EGFR mutant disease (ORCHARD; NCT03944772) is an appealing design that is well placed to be applied in ALK. In ORCHARD patients with a potentially targetable resistant variant continuing on osimertinib, appropriate targeted therapy was added, for example, savolitinib in MET amplification and necitumumab in EGFR amplification (126). This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
